Police assessment team seeks public comment on LPD
Members of the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies arrive Aug. 9 to examine operations of the Loveland Police Department and will gather public comment at a Loveland Public Library meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 11.

North Lake Swim Beach Tests High for E. coli
Updated 7-15-15: Swim Beach to be open from 10am-5pm as usual. The Swim Beach was closed Tuesday after tests showed levels of E. coli bacteria that exceeded state-mandated limits. The water at the beach will was retested now, with results in early Wednesday morning.

Second paved Rec Trail will connect Loveland and Fort Collins
The Front Range Trail, like the recently approved Long View Corridor Trail, will help fill the gap between existing trails in Loveland and Fort Collins. The Front Range Trail will connect Loveland’s Recreation Trail near Boyd Lake State Park to Fort Collins’ Fossil Creek Trail.

Loveland's downtown designated as National Historic District
The District, which has served as the center of economic activity in Loveland for over a century, has been deemed worthy of preservation by the National Park Service. In addition to preservation, this designation is expected be an economic driver for job creation and heritage tourism.

New Rec Trail connecting Loveland and Fort Collins soon to be a reality
Funding has been secured to build a multi-use, recreation and commuter trail connecting Loveland and Fort Collins. The 4.4-mile long trail will run along North Taft Avenue in Loveland and South Shields Street in Fort Collins. This will be the first trail of its kind between the two communities.
