FLEX Service (Regional Bus Service)
FLEX provides regional service from Fort Collins South Transit Center to Boulder, with stops in Loveland, Berthoud and Longmont. For more information on FLEX, please visit the FLEX Website.
If you are riding FLEX into Longmont to connect with RTD you will need to be prepared to pay the RTD fare. Transfers from FLEX will not be accepted by RTD. For a list of RTD fares and schedules please go to their website www.rtd-denver.com

Bus passes can be purchased at our office, located at 105 West 5th Street, Loveland, CO 80537 from the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. COLT accepts cash, checks, and credit cards.
*Drivers do not carry change. The exact fare amount is required when riding the bus.
*Additional discounted cash fares may be available by qualifying through the House of Neighborly Service (HNS) located at 1511 East 11th St., Loveland, CO 80537. For more information on available discounts call COLT at
Lost or stolen bus passes:
All passengers will receive a one (1)-time courtesy replacement card in the event they have a lost or stolen pass. Subsequent replacements will be charged according the fee schedule below:
First Replacement: Free
Second replacement: $5.00
Third replacement: $12.50
Fourth replacement: $25.00
Damaged or defective passes will be replaced without a fee. Pass must be presented and relinquished to COLT staff before a replacement pass will be issued. Failure to do so may result in the passenger paying a replacement fee.

What is Paratransit?
Paratransit Service offers door-to-door transportation services within the federally mandated 3/4 of a mile of every fixed route, for individuals whose physical and/or mental disabilities PREVENT them from using fixed route bus service. This service provides independence and mobility for those who might otherwise be socially isolated. For detailed information please review our Paratransit guide, English [PDF] or Spanish [PDF].

Paratransit operates Monday through Saturday. Reservations are accepted the day before up to two weeks in advance.Hours of Operation:

How do I know if I'm eligible?
The first time you call, we will get your name and address in order to send you information and eligibility forms. After forms are completed, you will send them back to COLT at 105 West Fifth Street, Loveland, CO 80537. What if I need to cancel my ride?
Passengers must call to cancel a reservation trip a minimum of two (2) hours prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Failure to give proper cancelation notice is defined as a “no-show”. Three (3) or more "no-shows" in a thirty (30) day period may result in a suspension of service. passenger who is not at the designated pick-up location and misses a scheduled trip is also defined as a “no-show”. You may cancel your ride by calling (970) 224-6066.
How soon do I need to be ready?
You can help ensure Dial-A-Ride will get you to your destination on time by being ready at least 15 minutes before your pickup time, being prepared to wait up to 15 minutes after your pickup time, and watching for your driver. Drivers will wait no more than five minutes from the time of arrival for each rider. If your driver has not arrived within 15 minutes of your pickup time, please call (970) 224-6066.

COLT is committed to complying with all Federal Americans with Disabilities (ADA) regulations as well as the State of Colorado accessibility requirements. In 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was passed by Congress and signed into law. As such, public transportation agencies, like COLT, are required by law to provide the necessary ADA-compliant equipment and accommodations.

Title VI
COLT Title VI Protection Notice to the Public
City of Loveland Transit hereby gives public notice of its policy to uphold and assure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Civil Rights Restoration Act of 1987, and all related statutes. Title VI and related statutes prohibiting discrimination in Federally-assisted programs require that no person in the United States of America shall on the grounds of race, color, or national origin, sex, age, or disability be excluded from the participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to, discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.
Any person who believes they have been aggrieved by an unlawful discretionary practice regarding COLT's programs has the right to file a formal complaint. Any such complaint must be in writing and submitted to the City of Loveland Title VI Coordinator within one hundred eighty, (180) days following the date of the alleged occurrence. Reasonable Modification Policy
If you would like to request a reasonable modification to COLT or Dial-A-Ride’s policies, practices and/or procedures to assist in ensuring that our programs are accessible to individuals with disabilities, please send a request describing what is needed to use the service to COLT@cityofloveland.org or call 970-962-2700. COLT or Dial-A-Ride staff will use the following criteria to determine if a request is reasonable: 1) the request is not a fundamental alteration of the service; 2) the request is not a direct threat to the health or safety of others; 3) the request is not needed by the requester to use the service; and 4) the request does not result in undue financial or administrative burden.
COLT buses are equipped with racks on the front of the bus that can hold up to three bicycles. All racks are available on a first come, first serve basis.
If the bus bike racks are full, there may be a place to secure you bicycle at the stop or transfer location or you may wait for the next bus.
Types of Bicycles Allowed
- Non-fuel powered, two-wheeled adult and children's bikes
- Must weigh less than 50 lbs
- No additional or oversized accessories that may limit the driver's visibility
- Electric-powered bicycles are allowed as long as they meet the weight requirement. The battery pack may need to be removed to meet this limit.
Scooter Policy
COLT passengers are allowed to bring personal scooters on board buses, if the scooter can be folded. The scooter must remain folded while on board the vehicle and placed in front of the passenger or under the seat. Scooters must not block aisles, exits or empty seating. They must not encroach into other passenger areas or personal space.
Personal scooters that cannot be folded are not allowed due to the high potential of injury to other passengers, the inability to secure them in the vehicle, and the likelihood of a hazard created by scooters in the aisles (they cannot be stored under a seat or in front of a passenger without encroaching on other passenger spaces).
Skateboard Policy
Skateboards (including electric skateboards) are allowed on COLT buses as long as they can be stored safely under the seat or kept with the passenger.
Skateboards must not block aisles, exits or empty seating. They must not encroach into other passenger areas or personal space.
Fixed route and Paratransit do not operate on Sundays. Service is also not available on the following holidays:
- New Years Day
- Memorial Day
- 4th of July
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Service animal means any animal that is individually trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability, including a physical, sensory, psychiatric, intellectual, or other mental disability. The work or tasks performed by a service animal must be directly related to the individual's disability. Examples of work or tasks include, but are not limited to, assisting individuals who are blind or have low vision with navigation and other tasks, alerting individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing to the presence of people or sounds, providing non-violent protection or rescue work, pulling a wheelchair, assisting an individual during a seizure, alerting individuals to the presence of allergens, retrieving items such as medicine or the telephone, providing physical support and assistance with balance and stability to individuals with mobility disabilities, and helping persons with psychiatric and neurological disabilities by preventing or interrupting impulsive or destructive behaviors. The crime deterrent effects of an animal's presence and the provision of emotional support, well-being, comfort, or companionship do not constitute work or tasks for the purposes of this definition.

City of Loveland Transit (COLT) has planned the following Program of Projects for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2024 Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Sections 5307 & 5339 apportionment. Section 5307 & 5339 funds are used for public transportation facilities and projects.

Public comment is encouraged and if warranted, the Program of Projects may be amended prior to publication of the final Program of Projects. The public is invited to comment on the POP and other amendments to the FY 2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) through the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO).
Public comments will be heard from 4:30-5:30 p.m., June 3, 2024 during the Loveland Transportation Advisory Board meeting, log-in information can be found on the City of Loveland website www.lovgov.org under Boards and Commissions. Comments can also be submitted via the COLT website www.cityofloveland.org/COLT under Plans and Projects, Program of Projects. All members of the public are encouraged to provide comment, public comments will be accepted through 5 p.m. June 13, 2024.
Pending no amendments after public comment, this proposed FFY2024 Program of Projects will be considered the final Program of Projects and will be forwarded to the NFRMPO Planning Council for inclusion in the TIP. This public notice and time established for public review and comments will satisfy the FTA Program of Projects requirements for the Urbanized Area Formula Program. This notice will serve as the final POP unless projects contained within are amended.

Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) Notice
In accordance with requirements of the U.S. Department of Transportation as set forth in 49 C.F.R. Part 26, as amended, the City of Loveland, Colorado hereby notifies the public that it is recommending the following Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for the applicable professional services, construction and procurement contracts during Fiscal Years 2022 – 2024, beginning October 1, 2022 and ending September 30, 2024 is 0.29%. Information pertaining to this goal and a description of how it was selected is available for inspection from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (Mountain Time) at the City of Loveland, Purchasing Division, 500 E. 3rd Street, second floor, Loveland, CO 80524 for 30 days following the date of this notice. Written comments on this goal will be accepted for 45 days from the date of this notice.
