Regular municipal elections are held on the first Tuesday in November of odd-numbered years. Lovelanders usually vote on the following:

  • Everyone votes for one Mayor to represent the City every two years.

  • Everyone in each ward votes for one of the two available councilmember positions to represent the ward they live in (but not other wards) every four years.
  • Everyone votes for any issues or questions that have made it to the ballot.
