The National Community Survey provides the City of Loveland with valuable feedback on what is working well and what is not, allowing the City to identify priorities for community planning. The City works with the National Research Center/Polco to gather statistically valid data that is representative of the community.

2024 Community Survey

Thank you to everyone who participated in the 2024 National Community Survey, which was conducted from late-July through early September.

The survey was open to all Loveland residents and was conducted in two parts:

  • A random sample survey sent to 4,000 randomly selected households across the City of Loveland asking them to participate.
  • An open participation survey available for all Loveland residents to participate. The open participation survey was available in print and online.

Ten facets of community livability including community design, economy, mobility, parks and recreation, inclusivity and engagement, utilities, safety, natural environment, education / arts / culture, and health and wellness were measured.

Staff will be able to use the data collected during the National Community Survey to align long-term strategic plans, evaluate performance management efforts, inform budget preparation, and more.

The National Research Center/Polco identified the following key takeaways:

  • Community members gave excellent or good ratings to the City of Loveland as a place to live and to Loveland's overall quality of life, reflecting strong satisfaction.
  • Items that scored higher than the national benchmarks were affordable high-speed internet access, community support for the arts, Loveland open space, drinking water and opportunities to attend cultural, arts and music activities.
  • Opportunities for improvement included air quality, overall economic health, K-12 education, traffic enforcement and crime prevention.
