Home MenuStrategic Plan
This Strategic Plan – the first in Loveland’s history – is the product of a yearlong effort that brought City Council members, City staff, members of City boards and commissions and community stakeholders together to talk about ideas, hopes and aspirations for our community's future.
The Plan’s guiding principles are based on the City of Loveland’s Vision, Mission and Values, and identifies eight areas of focus:
Public Safety |
Economic Vitality |
Infrastructure and Transportation |
Fiscal Stability and Strength |
Livability |
Sustainability |
Innovation and Organizational Excellence |
Outreach, Collaboration and Engagement |
The first edition of the Strategic Plan was adopted on March 3, 2020. In a matter of weeks of that adoption, the City of Loveland, along with the nation, was swept into a state of emergency as the COVID-19 pandemic took hold, affecting nearly every aspect of operating Loveland's government as it worked to continue to serve the Loveland community.
Despite the enormous challenges the pandemic has presented, the City has continued to pursue the strategic goals detailed in the plan. The most recent progress reports are available for viewing:

Both progress reports list the status of various initiatives as well as some delays caused by the pandemic and/or funding issues.
