Steps to Candidacy
Follow these steps to officially become a City Council candidate.
Once the City Clerk's office has received and processed your information and determined your eligibility, your candidacy will appear on this website.

- Affidavit: Complete and submit the Candidate Affidavit within ten days of announcing your candidacy.

- Committee Registration: Before receiving any funds or making any expenses, you will need to complete a Candidate Committee Registration form.

- Circulate a Nomination Petition: Circulate a Nomination Petition and gather at least 25 signatures from registered electors who reside within your ward (or citywide if running for mayor).
- Financial Disclosure: All Candidates must turn in a Financial Disclosure form with the City Clerk.

- Campaign Finance: All candidates will need to submit a Campaign Finance Report to disclose financial activities and contributions during their campaign. Find forms and additional information below.
