To help prevent crime and increase safety, more and more residents and businesses are installing video cameras. As such, video surveillance has become very helpful in solving crimes, identifying persons, and used as valuable evidence in court.
The Loveland Police Department would like the help from our community by forming a partnership in fighting crime by taking part in our Neighborhood Lookout Camera Program (NLCP). The NLCP will allow residents and businesses owners to voluntary register the locations of their video cameras with the Loveland Police Department.
When a crime is being investigated, police officers and/or detectives canvass the area looking for cameras that may have captured video aiding in the investigation. By knowing the location of cameras ahead of time, can speed up the investigation and/or provide valuable evidence more quickly.
