Connecting Service
Submit a request online or contact Utility Billing at 970-962-2111 to start utility service and schedule a meter reading(s). We can process your service request for as early as the next business day, or up to two weeks in advance. Readings are not done on weekends. Your first utility bill will include an applicable fee(s) for starting service. The City requires a deposit, which is held until you establish a good payment record for 12 consecutive months.
Transferring Service within the City
Submit a request online (you must first create an account and select 'Forms' after logging in) or contact Utility Billing at 970-962-2111 to transfer utility service and schedule a meter reading(s). We can process your service request for as early as the next business day, or up to two weeks in advance. Readings are not done on weekend. If you have not established 12 consecutive months of good credit, a service deposit is required at the new address if we are not holding one for you.
Expect the final bill for the prior address within two weeks of the service stop date. Your first utility bill at the new address will include an applicable fee(s) for starting service.
Disconnecting Service
Submit a request online (you must first create an account and select 'Forms' after logging in) or contact Utility Billing at 970-962-2111 to stop utility service and schedule a meter reading(s) if you are moving out of the City’s service area. We can process your service request for as early as the next business day, or up to two weeks in advance. Readings are not done on weekends. Any service deposit on file for the address will be applied to the final bill. A check will be issued for any amount in excess of the total amount owed.
Expect the final bill within two weeks of the service stop date.
