Larimer County- Loveland Growth Management Area Overlay Zoning District |
The City of Loveland and Larimer County are working to provide certainty around growth, development, annexation and infrastructure in and around the State Highway 402 and US Highway 34 corridors. With these goals in mind, Loveland and Larimer County are exploring extending the Loveland Growth Management Area overlay-zoning district to properties where it does not currently exist. Doing this will put into effect the Intergovernmental Agreement for Growth Management (IGA) between Loveland and Larimer County and create certainty for property owners that Loveland will provide services if they chose to develop.
The proposed extension of the Larimer County Loveland Growth Management Area is depicted in the Proposal Map below. It is important to note that having the Larimer County Loveland Growth Management Area overlay zoning district on your property does not mean that you are being annexed into the City of Loveland. If you as the property owner choose to re-zone your property or apply for a special review or minor land division, you will need to check with the City of Loveland to see if you are able to be annexed, per the rules of the State.
