How do I request an inspection?

City of Loveland Policy for Third Party Inspectors

Roofing Requirements:

In order to clarify some confusion during scheduling roof inspections and submission of roofing affidavit/roof pictures, please read and follow the steps below:

1) Scheduling inspections- There are *3 inspections that must be scheduled:

a) Final Roof – We DO NOT get on the roof because of liability reasons. To inspect we only need to walk around the house and review the roof photos.
b) Roofing Affidavit – Once scheduled, you will email in this affidavit and roof pictures (preferably the afternoon before the inspection)
c) Permit Completion – This must be scheduled the same time as your other inspections. This inspection is resulted in office.

PLEASE NOTE, IF ONE OF THE INSPECTIONS IS NOT SCHEDULED, THE OTHER INSPECTIONS WILL BE DISAPPROVED. THEN ALL MUST BE RESCHEDULED AND INFORMATION RESENT TO BUILDINGINSPECTIONLETTERS@CITYOFLOVELAND.ORG

2) Pictures to be included for submission:

Mid roof (roof decking), the address of the project (front of the project in view), ice and water shield with a measurement showing the 2’ distance with in the exterior wall. Drip edge on both the eaves and the rakes, valley materials being used, the shingling process and how many nails in the shingle.
