City of Loveland City Manager Steve Adams will provide video updates on the affects of the COVID-19 pandemic on City services, programs and events, as well as its ongoing impact to the Loveland community. These updates will generally be provided on a weekly basis or more often as the situation dictates.

Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2020

Topics include:

  • The recent and dramatic spike in COVID-19 cases in Larimer County resulting in a county public health order with new restrictions for restaurants, gyms, outdoor recreation and other businesses and facilities.
  • The need for all residents to take action now to slow the spread and help keep the economy open, support our healthcare systems, and keep each other safe.

  • Announcement that a number of Parks & Recreation facilities are reopening on Saturday, May 30

  • County's May 3 order requiring face coverings - for questions call 970-498-5500 or go to the County’s online portal: https://form.jotform.com/200914110519141 
  • The public is invited to submit questions on the COVID-19 pandemic in advance of the May 12 City Council meeting, which Tom Gonzales, Director of Larimer County Public Health, and representatives from UC Health and Banner Health, will answer questions on the state of the pandemic in northern Colorado, and provide updates on our local healthcare systems. Please email questions in advance to COLCOVID19@cityofloveland.org. In addition, City staff will present a fiscal contingency plan to address financial imbalances and revenue shortfalls caused by the pandemic.
  • A number of City services and facilities have reopened, but most offices and facilities such as the Chilson Rec Center/Sr. Center, Museum and Rialto remain closed through May 25, 2020.

  • Plans for partial reopening of specific kinds of businesses, slowly, and under certain, limited conditions
  • Updates on CARES Act, SBA loans and additional financial assistance for small businesses
  • City's Economic Development department is assisting local business to access government loans and providing additional resources:
    • The department has collaborated with other northern Colorado communities to develop a website: nocorecovers.com, that lists funding resources for businesses in northern Colorado
    • It also has produced and published a virtual dining and restaurant take-out guide to help support local restaurants
  • City Manager urges residents to continue to 'Stay home and Stay safer'
