Contact: Jon Shepard, Senior Electric Distribution Designer (970) 962-3551

Loveland Water and Power (LWP) will set poles and wires during the final stage of the Big Thompson Canyon conversion project Wednesday, Nov. 13, prompting a scheduled power outage from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. If weather prohibits or slows the work Wednesday, crews will perform the work Thursday, Nov. 14.

Customers living along U.S. Hwy 34 west of Drake to Waltonia will be without power while LWP and a helicopter contractor install new poles and transfer power lines in terrain too rough to reach on foot. Traffic on U.S. Hwy 34 and County Road 43 will be impacted by periodic closures.

Please visit our Circuit 911 page at www.cityofloveland.org/Circuit911 for details on the project. If you have questions or concerns about the outage, please contact Water and Power Dispatch at (970) 962-3581.
