Teach kids to love nature!
Volunteers are needed to help Open Lands & Trails present environmental education programs at River’s Edge Natural Area and Viestenz-Smith Mountain Park to local students in grades K-5. These outdoor programs are offered on weekdays in spring and fall, and cover topics about wildlife, native plants, and the environment.
Join Open Lands staff and experienced volunteers at this informational open house to learn more about helping to present short, interactive lessons at small group learning stations. We provide free training; no experience or knowledge necessary; all materials included. Volunteers should be in good physical condition. Background check is required.
For more details about the meeting, see Offero.
