Enjoy yourself at this "high fun, high fashion" event that includes something for everyone and helps children in our community!
The event benefits CASA of Larimer County and Canyon Concert Dance Center.
The evening begins with delicious appetizers, drinks, Strike Challenge & High Fashion Dress prizes.
There is casual bowling with a secret way to be a winner - buy a Super Star (an extra donation for the kiddos) and change a frame score. For our friends that prefer not to remove their high heels or ties there is a terrific silent auction that is a challenge to completely shop between visiting, eating, drinking and cheering (or not) on friends. All of this for only $60/person or $200 for a group of four AND you can feel good about making kids lives a bit better.
Please see www.blacktiebowling.com , email CASA.Jeanie@comcast.net or call Canyon Concert Dance Center at 970.472.4156 for more information.
Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers work with children who are in out of home placement while the Court works to determine their best permanent home placement. CASAs talk with family members, medical professionals, teachers, therapists and the child in order to provide the Court with a clear, current picture of the child’s situation. It is not uncommon for CASA’s children to be moved to 2, 3, 4 or more foster homes and often also change caseworkers and schools. The CASA volunteer provides stability and companionship over the length of their case, usually 12 -18 months.
CASA of Larimer County’s Harmony House Visitation Centers in Fort Collins and Loveland are busy old homes that provide a safe homelike setting for children to visit parents and family while ensuring they are safe from the trauma that first brought them to us. These connections are vital to the well-being of the child and parent. Safe custody exchanges are also provided at the Harmony Houses which protects the children from their parents’ conflicts.
