United Way

Technical Assistance Partnership Spring Symposium

Registration closes Wednesday, May 15, 2013.
Join nearly 100 nonprofit leaders for a full-day training event offered right here in Larimer County!

As nonprofit professionals, we’re seeing a shift in the way donors are giving. This year’s Symposium will explore the emerging trends in giving, including what populations are giving, why they are giving, and how they are giving.

Our featured keynote speaker, Michael Wagschal, Senior Vice President and Senior Philanthropic Specialist for the West Coast for U.S. Trust Philanthropic Solutions, will share findings from the 2012 Bank of America Study of High Net Worth Philanthropy (view the snapshot), as well as enlighten us with how nonprofits can stay ahead of the curve to engage and retain donors.

Additional workshops throughout the day include:

?Community Funded – 21st century funding tools to engage, empower, and build your community presented by McCabe Callahan: Founder and CEO, Community Funded
?Planned Giving 101 presented by Anthony Cisneros: Financial Advisor, Merrill Lynch Wealth Management
?Doers Today, Donors Tomorrow: Engaging the Next Generation in Your Mission presented by Alexis Boian: Founder & Executive Director, Young Philanthropists Foundation
?IRS Regulations Affecting Tax-Exempt Organizations presented by Joey Hoefler, CPA: Audit Manager, RLR, LLP Certified Public Accounts and Advisors
?Panel Discussion: The Generation of Giving facilitated by Erin Hall: Vice President, Third Sector Enterprises, Inc. with representation from United Way of Larimer County, Colorado Nonprofit Association, Community Foundation of Northern Colorado, and Bank of America
?Stump the Coach Sessions

At this year’s Symposium, we will also award the Nonprofit Executive Director Excellence Award.
