Historic Wood Window Preservation Workshop
Using a model of a window frame with double hung sashes, Mike Perschbacher from Older Than Dirt Construction will show all the parts of the frame and sashes, demonstrate how the frame fits into the wall, how to remove the sashes, and which parts are expendable. Using deteriorated sashes the demonstration will show how to safely remove paint and failed glazing, repair/rebuild only severely damaged/deteriorated parts, restore using epoxy, install glass and glazing.
