Soil Savvy: A Key to Successful Front Range Gardening
Whether a vegetable garden, a flower bed, or a lawn with trees and shrubs, soil properties contribute to at least 80% of all landscape plant problems that we encounter along the Front Range, and yet soil is the resource that we usually know the least about.  Learn how to assess the properties of your soil and how to use knowledge of soil properties as an important landscape management tool to improve both soil and plant health.

Presenter: Jean Reeder
Dr. Reeder spent more than 30 years conducting research on soil properties for the USDA Agricultural Research Service.  Since retiring, she works as a consultant for the CSU Soil Testing Lab, and as a soils instructor for the CSU Extension Master Gardener program.
