Music provided by: Mary Beth Eversol & Nancie Dalke and other local talent. We will also have Magician Nate Swift performing throughout the day.
The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer takes place every year at the end of June. The 39.3 mile walk is from Keystone to Breckenridge over 2 days. Each walker is required to raise $1800.00 plus pay for 2 nights accommodations to participate the Walk. The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer supports many local charities. During the 2011 closing ceremonies $1 million in grants were given to six local Colorado organizations (including The Women's Resource Center) ensuring the funds raised immediately benefited the communities of Colorado with more grants slated to be awarded throughout the year to additional local and national breast cancer programs. Since 1992, the Avon Foundation Breast Cancer Crusade has raised and awarded more than $525 million dollars to the cause. The money is used for education, clinical care, early detection programs and support services, with a special focus on the under-served.
This effort needs to continue until the cause and prevention can be found. Please help us with this cause.
