The City's new Climate Action Task Force will hold a preliminary meeting on May 30th for those interested. Applications are open now through 5 p.m., Monday, June 3.
The task force will assist City staff to develop the City of Loveland’s first Climate Action Plan by:
- Assessing community vulnerability to the impacts of climate change.
- Conducting a community-wide greenhouse gas emission inventory.
- Identifying & addressing community needs via a vulnerability assessment & community engagement.
- Establishing a vision for & prioritizing specific targets for climate mitigation and adaptation.
- Developing a strategic plan composed of a set of recommendations to meet mitigation & adaptation targets and a framework for implementation and identification of possible funding sources or opportunities.
