Stages of Life
June 14 - August 18
Dunning Gallery
Portraiture is an old art form going back as far as ancient Egypt, where it flourished from around 5,000 years ago. Before the invention of photography, a painted, sculpted, or drawn portrait was the only way to record a person’s appearance. Portraits depict the essence of a person or group.
This exhibition features historic portraits from the Museum’s collection exploring the different stages of human life. https://www.thelovelandmuseum.org/stages-of-life/
