Green Room | Free Admission
Public Reception during Night on the Town: Friday, April 12, 6 - 8 pm

The arts are an essential part of a complete education, a growing economy and an engaged community. Art teachers play a crucial role by fostering creativity and self-expression, creating well-rounded and prepared leaders. The arts also encourage strong learning skills such as visual thinking, which makes difficult concepts more readily understandable. Art teachers are also working artists, growing individually and generating important teaching projects for their students. The teaching artist deftly straddles the worlds of creativity and innovation, developing their own practice and skills while fostering an appreciation for the arts in future generations. The artists in this exhibition work with students daily to boost critical thinking and observation skills, while simultaneously striving to define the creative language that fosters growth as individual artists. Explore the inspiration and motivation that drives the teaching artist.
