The Loveland Historic Register
The Loveland Historic Register is a prestigious list of properties within the municipal limits designated as historic landmarks by the City Council. These properties are eligible for financial incentives, provided any changes they make comply with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation.
Since the program’s inception in 2002, the City of Loveland has:
- Listed 77 properties on the Loveland Historic Register
- Establishing four historic districts.
There is no cost to have your property listed on the register, and participation is voluntary.
Having your property listed on the register is free, and participation is voluntary. To qualify to be on the register, properties must:
- Be over 50 years old.
- Display historical significance to the Loveland community through architecture.
- Have connections to important historical people, themes, or events.
Property owners receive financial incentives when they register their property:
- Federal and State tax credits may be available to owners rehabilitating properties with landmark status.
- The State Historical Fund grant program.
- The Permit Fee Waiver program.
- and the City’s zero-interest Landmark Rehabilitation Loan program.
