Climate and Sustainability Task Force

Are you interested in  sustainability and the environment? Then the City's new Climate Action Task Force might be for you!

The City's new Climate Action Task Force will hold a preliminary meeting on May 30th for those interested.  Applications are open now through 5 p.m., Monday, June 3.  

The task force will assist City staff to develop the City of Loveland’s first Climate Action Plan by:

  •  Assessing community vulnerability to the impacts of climate change.
  • Conducting a community-wide greenhouse gas emission inventory.
  • Identifying & addressing community needs via a vulnerability assessment & community engagement.
  • Establishing a vision for & prioritizing specific targets for climate mitigation and adaptation.
  • Developing a strategic plan composed of a set of recommendations to meet mitigation & adaptation targets and a framework for implementation and identification of possible funding sources or opportunities.
