We have state-of-the-art cardio and strength training equipment, designated weight room, several group exercise classes each day, 2 gymnasiums with drop-in basketball, volleyball and pickleball, racquetball courts, lap pool, leisure pool with kids play area and lazy river, 2 hot tubs, indoor walking & running track.

Holidays
The Childcare area is CLOSED for holidays, such as Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, etc. If you are unsure, please call ahead to verify the childcare area is open before coming to use the facility.

Age Requirements
Minimum: 3 months
Maximum: 8 years
Reservations are required for infants from 3 months through 7 months. Please call 970.962.2466 during childcare open hours.
Time Limit
Only a parent or person in charge (immediate family member) may utilize our childcare for their children for a total of 2 hours per day. Parents must be actively using the facility and must remain inside the Chilson Center at all times in case of an emergency.
Sign-In
Parents are required to sign children in and out at each visit. Children will only be released to the immediate family member listed on the sign-in sheet.
Label Belongings
Please be advised to label all personal belongings.
Shoes
Shoes are required for children 7 months through 8 years while using the childcare room. Infants 3 - 6 months require socks or booties.
Personal Items
Please note that items brought from home such as movies, stuffed animals, dolls, and any personal toys will not be allowed in childcare.
Food/Drinks
Food/snacks are not permitted in childcare. Bottles and sippy cups are allowed (and encouraged) and should be clearly labeled on the outside. Please bring only plastic bottles to reduce the possibility of breakage. Milk, formula and clear or yellow juice (such as apple or pear) are allowed. No dark colored drinks (such as grape, cranberry or plum) or soda are allowed in the childcare room. Childcare staff will be able to refill water bottles at the drinking fountain if needed.
Diapers/Clothing
The use of disposable diapers is required for sanitary and health reasons. You must provide your own diapers and diaper wipes. Children wearing diapers must have clothing over them.
Special Needs
Please inform the staff (by calling in advance) of any needs your child has so that we may provide your child with the best care possible.
Paging Parents
Occasionally, children may require individual or parental attention. The staff will attempt to comfort or discipline children for a maximum of fifteen minutes. After that time, parents will be paged to pick up their child.
Storing Items
Due to safety policies and limited space in the childcare room, we cannot store car seats, strollers, child carriers, or similar equipment during your use of the Chilson Center. Please store these items in your vehicle.
Emergencies
In case of an emergency evacuation such as a fire, parents should NOT go to the childcare room. Please use the nearest exit, and meet your child on the west side of the facility in front of the benches by the Foote Lagoon.
Age Guidelines
- 14 years and older: unrestricted use of equipment.
- 12-13 years: Independent Use- Use of cardio bikes permitted. Use of weight equipment permitted upon completion of Lift Strong class (must wear wristband showing completion).
- 11 years and younger: Use of track only under direct supervision of someone 16 or older.
General Facility Rules
- All guests must check in at the front desk prior to entering and re-entering the recreation/fitness portion of Chilson - present your Chilson card each visit for expedited service
- Youth age 5+ must use appropriate locker room; families with children, or those requiring special care, are encouraged to utilize our family cabanas for their locker room needs
- For your privacy, use of cameras, phones or other recording devices is strictly prohibited in locker rooms
- Shirt and shoes must be worn in all areas except locker rooms and swimming pools; proper workout attire required in fitness areas
- Please refrain from wearing fragrances
- Food and drink (no glass containers) are allowed in lounge/lobby/pool deck areas only; water bottles permitted throughout the facility
- Black or colored-sole shoes that leave marks are not allowed on racquetball courts or in the gymnasiums
- Please secure personal belongings in any approved Parks & Recreation storage location and leave valuables at home; Chilson is not responsible for lost or stolen items
- Portions and/or all of the facility may close periodically due to regular or unexpected maintenance and upkeep
- Smoking/use of tobacco products and electronic cigarettes or e-cigarettes (including electronic cigars, electronic cigarillos, electronic hookahs and electronic pipes) is not allowed in any area of the building/patio or within 15 feet
of any entrance - Alcoholic beverages are not allowed in the building without a permit; appropriate action will be taken for persons suspected of substance abuse while in the facility
- Appropriate social behavior and treatment of others is expected of everyone in the facility; physical, mental, verbal or emotional abuse will not be accepted or tolerated; no profane or inappropriate language; please use headphones with personal music devices
- Video recording of instructors or class sessions, for a commercial purpose, is prohibited without City authorization
- Photography, videotaping, filming or audio recording other guests within admission-only areas of Chilson is prohibited without prior written permission from the City
- The Chilson Recreation Center is designed for guests to engage in activities for paid drop-in use, program participation and other necessary ancillary use for the
activities - any other use of the facility inconsistent with the intended purpose of the facility is strictly prohibited - Suspension may result from failure to comply with rules
Alcohol & Tobacco
All tobacco, tobacco products, and e-cigarettes are prohibited inside the Chilson Center and within 50 feet of entrances, or as designated. Alcohol is not permitted in swim or gymnastics party packages.
Cancellations & Refunds
Renters may receive a full refund up to 14 days prior to the rental date for non-prime time rentals and up to 60 days prior to the rental date for prime time rentals. No refunds will be given within 5 business days of the rental.

The Chilson Recreation Center houses three racquetball courts that may be used for racquetball, handball or wallyball play.

Reservations
Courts may be reserved up to three days in advance by calling 970.962.2438 during normal Chilson Recreation Center business hours, or reserve online any time through WebTrac!

All players must check in at the front desk. Daily admission rate applies. Reservations will be considered "No Show" after 15 minutes if no one has checked in and may be given away to guests waiting. If you cannot arrive by your designated time and you must cancel your reservation, please call the Chilson Center Front Desk at 970.962.2383 or cancel online through WebTrac.
There is a limit of two 1-hour reservations per day/per household. Reservations may be made for any available 1-hour time slots (hours are limited through Labor Day 2021, closing at 8:00P Mon-Thu, 6P Fri, 4:30P Sat and closed on Sun):
- Monday-Friday 6:00A - 9:00P
- Saturday 6:00A - 6:00P
- Sunday 11:00A - 6:00P
Racquets are available to rent at $1.50 per person/per hour. Eye guards are strongly encouraged and are available for check-out at the front desk, at no charge. Ages 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult 16 or older. Racquets must have bumper guard & wrist strap. No wooden racquets. Proper athletic attire required. No marking/black-soled shoes.
No reservation is necessary to take advantage of the challenge court times below.
Challenge Courts
Chilson Challenge Court provides an excellent opportunity to meet other players and practice your game. All levels of play are invited to attend. Games are coed and played to 15 points.
Racquetball Challenge Court Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 12:00 - 2:00P, courts 2 & 3
- Wednesday, 4:00 - 8:00P, all courts (court 1 ends at 7:00P) (great for beginners)
- Sunday, 11:00A - 12:00P, courts 2 & 3
AGE REQUIREMENTS -
Ages 7 & under- Must be accompanied and supervised by someone 16+ in the gyms
Ages 11 & under- Must be supervised by someone 16+ to use racquetball courts
GYMNASIUM RULES
• Water in a spill-proof container is permitted; no other food or drink (including gum)
• Appropriate attire must be worn (t-shirt or full tank top, bottoms and non-marking athletic shoes required)
• Spitting on the walls or floor is prohibited
• Hanging on the rims or nets is prohibited
• Do not kick basketballs or volleyballs; return checked-out equipment to the front desk
• Be a good sport - offensive language and gestures, unsportsmanlike conduct and lack of respect toward guests, staff or the facility will not be tolerated
• Organized practices are not allowed
• Chilson staff may adjust the gym schedule at any time
GYM TEAM PLAY RULES
All games are self-monitored; good sportsmanship and proper conduct are expected at all times; winning teams may stay on the court for no more than three consecutive
games if others are waiting
• Basketball games are played to 15 points/won by 2 points
• Volleyball games are played to 25 points/won by 2 points
• Pickleball games are played to 11 points/won by 2 points

Party Packages
Birthday party packages must be booked at least one week in advance. The Party Room is able to accommodate up to 25 people. You may arrive up to 15 minutes early to decorate the room. Food and drinks are welcome; no alcohol permitted. Full payment is due at the time of your reservation. Call us now to book your party 970.962.2468.
Swim
Stay COOL in the POOL! The swim party package includes full day admission into the pool for kids and adults and one hour in the Party Room. Based on space available, you may extend your time in the Party Room. Ask us about extra time/fees when you reserve.

Children under six years of age must be within arm's reach of and actively supervised by someone 16 or older while in the water. One adult or guardian who is 16 or older may supervise up to four children under the age of six, no charge for adults who are required to be in the water.

FLIP OUT at our gymnastics center! The gymnastics party package includes one hour of facilitated gymnastics activities with an instructor and one hour in the Party Room.

The Hatfield Chilson Recreation/Senior Center is one of Northern Colorado's most complete facilities for special events, meetings, socials, birthdays, conferences, fundraisers, luncheons, banquets, wedding receptions, quinceañeras and other activities both social and recreational. Close to downtown Loveland, the Chilson Center is easily accessible from I-25, Highway 34 and Highway 287. MULTI PURPOSE ROOM |
The Multi-Purpose Room is an extremely versatile space that can accommodate nearly any type of meeting, event, or social activity. The contemporary room has a wooden parquet floor with oak trim and may be divided into three separate rooms for smaller gatherings. The separate entrance and parking area allow guests to enter the facility with the utmost of ease. The room is equipped with adjustable lighting to match the needs of your event. An outdoor patio is accessible for warm weather events along with a kitchen that is available to rent.

Conditions
Facility rentals will be authorized if they do not conflict with any City, Parks & Recreation or Senior Center activity or event.
All rental requests are confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Prime time rental requests for a particular day and time may be made within one year of the actual date. Other rental times can be reserved following internal program reservations for the coming season.
All events scheduled at the Chilson Center will be held to the hours contracted. If the renter exceeds the contracted time of the rental, there will be additional charges incurred. Requests for additional time are subject to the approval of the Operations Coordinator or Facility/Event Supervisor.
Renters are to provide their own decorations for the room(s). This includes table linens, signs, ornaments, etc. Painter’s tape must be used when adhering anything to the walls or ceilings unless prior approval from the Operations Coordinator has been received. Uncontained candles and open flames are not permitted. Self-contained candles are permitted. Rice, confetti, birdseed, glitter, smoke machines, fog machines, etc. are prohibited in or around the premises.
Events must be completed by 11:00pm, and the facility must be clean and vacated by 12:00am.
Facility Supervision
Chilson staff must be present during all facility rentals scheduled for non-operational hours (after 6:00pm on Saturday or Sunday) or as deemed necessary by the Facility Coordinator.
Audio & Visual Equipment
The Chilson Center is able to provide your group with a variety of equipment. We have the ability to provide a projector, projector screen, laptop, stereo, speakers, podium, and microphones.
Room Setup/Teardown
The Chilson Center will provide tables and chairs for your event. This is included in the setup/teardown costs. If additional tables and chairs are needed, the renter is responsible for supplying them.
Alcohol & Tobacco
If alcohol will be served, an alcohol permit fee, deposit and Law Enforcement Contract must be obtained at the time of reservation. Serving & consumption of alcoholic beverages and food is restricted to the room(s) rented. Cash bars are not allowed.

Facility & Damage Deposit
A damage deposit secures the room reservation. If the damage deposit is to be refunded, the deposit will be returned by check to the initial payer within 2-4 weeks after the rental. Damage deposit requirements vary by the room rented.
